Hello, We're looking for an employee that can wear many hats. We are needing to replace an employee that's retiring after being with us for more than 30 years. His skillsets are very diverse and his knowledge base is very broad. We don't really expect to find someone who can fill all of the roles that he did, but we'd like to find someone who can match up as closely as possible. Here is a list of the duties he has been in charge of until now; Shipping & Receiving, including the inventory of all necessary items needed for these tasks, like ordering boxes, tape, bubble wrap, packing peanuts, etc Parcel packaging of delicate items for shipment domestically and internationally Crating and palletizing when necessary Incoming inspection of critical optical and mechanical components, which requires the ability to read technical mechanical drawings Inventory control of thousands of components Operate and maintain our forklift as needed Assembly of critical optical and mechanical components  (not assembly line!) Basic building maintenance, both inside and outside Electrical repairs as needed, such as outlet & switch replacement, light bulb replacement, etc Basic knowledge of spreadsheets and other computer skills Organization of his tool area and all packing supplies Naturally, after 30 years with the company, he has a wealth of knowledge that simply won't be replaceable ... yet, we need to do our best to try! I have likely missed some of the categories that he's in charge of, but this list is a start. Please apply if you feel that these skillsets are a match for yours.
