My roommate and I have parented two guinea pig brothers and a male chinchilla, for the past 4/ 5 years. They were all adopted by us when they were each about 3 years old and 4 years old. We are preparing to move out of Oregon, several states away. These species do not thrive under stressful conditions, they are each very sensitive to any changes in routine/room temperature, changes in climate, environment, etc. We know that it will not be in the best interest of these three "kids" of ours, to be taken through the ordeal of a move - and may not even survive through it, if we were to try. We would like to find them new, permanent homes, here in central Oregon, where they will be loved and cared for in their final years.
