Estate Maintenance Worker/Farm Handyperson needed on the premises gentlemen’s Farm in Peterborough, NH. The Farm is 120-acres of pristine grounds, historic buildings, and cattle. This position will report directly to the farm manager. This is a full-time position and while the general schedule is 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, flexibility in schedule is required to meet the demands of the owner, weather, and/or handle emergency situations. Duties include and are not limited to: Maintaining/cleaning all facilities/equipment and keeping them in safe and working order, tasks may include completing minor facility mechanical repairs, equipment repairs, light carpentry & plumbing repairs, painting, cleaning; Maintain farm grounds which included but not limited to; lawn mowing, weed whacking, hedge trimming, garden upkeep, tree maintenance, irrigation maintenance, etc. Other tasks include: mending/painting fences, snow removal, fall & spring clean-up, haying fields, splitting fire wood, etc. EXPERIENCE A minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience is required. Ability to safely operate general lawn equipment, chain-saw, and other power tools is required and knowledge of the operation of a tractors and skid steer a plus. Must be comfortable around farm animals but no experience is required. CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES Valid driver’s license is required.
