Summary Description: The primary function of this position is to support the sheet metal shop, deliver materials, pick up orders from vendors, transport tools, and help in the shop in between deliveries. Must provide own standard sheet metal fabrication tools. Physical Requirements and Work Environment: This position may be subject to long periods of standing and may be subject to reaching overhead, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs and other repetitive motions. Essential Job Functions: • Must be reliable, organized and able to work in a fast paced work environment. • Loads truck for delivery, picks up orders from vendors. • Transports tools from jobsites, and pick up and drop off repaired or broken tools. • Back up Tool Department personnel; back up duties include fork truck operation, and shipping and receiving. • Shop duties include: forming and knocking duct work, filling job orders from cut sheets, and maintaining clean and organized work environment. • Must be familiar with jobsite safety policies and restrictions. • Understands safety requirements for tools and ensures that all tools and equipment are in compliance. • Understands MDS sheets and maintains up to date records. • Understanding of all job requirements and the ability to wear the necessary Personal Protective Equipment as each job site deems necessary.
