LRI is seeking a Green Roof Team Leader to join our team, with a positive attitude, leadership skills, and a willingness to travel throughout the Southeast (VA, TN, NC, SC, GA). We are looking for honest, communicative team members who are self motivated, and are willing to work as part of a team. This position has the opportunity for growth and promotion in the company. References are required. The Green Roof Team Leader (GRTL) is an entry level supervisory position. This position is for successful GRT2’s ready to take on more of a leadership role within the company. GRTL’s are regularly tasked with leading specific work activities on projects. They ensure the crew is working safely and efficiently. GRTL’s support Construction Supervisors and some responsibilities may overlap. Green Roof Team Leaders are expected to have OSHA 10, Rigging & Signalperson, Rough Terrain Forklift Operator, Fall Protection, and Silica certifications. Responsibilities: • Install green roof base components; Install irrigation systems • Plant perennials, shrubs, and trees • Identify and mechanically remove weeds from established green roofs • Install pedestal paver systems (including measuring and cutting pavers) • Use power equipment, including drills, sawzalls, angle grinders, concrete saw, etc. • Load/unload trucks with equipment, tools, and materials • Transport crew members, equipment, tools, and materials to job sites • Delegate tasks to Green Roof Technicians • Complete Job Hazard Analysis, or other construction safety documents • Ensure crew safety at all times • Assist with maintaining shop inventory • Safely offload materials using forklift and/or crane • Communicate with Living Roofs management • Document jobs thoroughly Minimum Qualifications: • 1 year or more experience working in construction or landscaping • Willing to work outdoors in all types of weather • Valid driver’s license, clean record • Able to travel regularly for project work; Able to lift 50 lbs • Certifications/Trainings: First Aid/CPR/AED, OSHA 10, Rough Terrain Forklift Operator, Silica Preferred Qualifications: • Green roof construction experience • OSHA 30 • Rigging & Signalperson certifications • Construction Roadway Temporary Traffic Control • Fall Protection Pay/Benefits: $20-$25/HR.
