Driller’s Helper Compensation: Pay based on experience and certifications Geotechnical engineering firm seeking a responsible, hardworking, motivated individual to join our growing firm as a Driller’s Helper. Job Responsibilities Provide labor intensive assistance for Drilling Crew to include: • Assist Driller with soil borings, soil sampling, rock coring, and visual soil classification and documentation • Hauling supplies to and from the drill site • Manual material handling • Mixing drilling fluids • Logging boreholes • Perform other duties as assigned, such as staking boring locations, site reconnaissance, and completing hand auger borings or test pit excavations Job Requirements • High School Diploma or GED • Must be able to work flexible hours and travel out of town when necessary • Successful completion of a physical, pre-employment drug screen and background check • The ability to lift 50-70 lbs on a regular basis and to work 8+ hours per day • Position requires outdoor work. Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions • Must complete all work in a safe manner • Experience with heavy equipment or construction equipment operation preferred • Drilling experience preferred, but not required • Valid driver’s license. Commercial driver’s license is a plus but not required Compensation & Benefits Compensation is based on experience and capabilities. This is an hourly position that pays 1.5x for overtime.
