This position will be responsible for assisting an elderly person with mobility functions (i.e. bathing, getting up and down stairs and from bed, and getting dress). The position will require driving the clients to and from appointments when needed. Housecleaning experience and some light meals preparation. (75% cleaning, 25% caregiving). Live-in is 5 days a week: Tue-Sat or Wed-Sun. Also, could be a 10-12 hour day. Essential Functions: 1. Live at the private residence 5 days per week and provide assistance and support to an elderly couple. 2. Assist elderly couple with mobility functions (getting up from chair/bed; bathing and getting dressed). 3. Chauffer client to appointments when needed. 4. Assist other housecleaners. 5. Light meal preparation. 6. Other duties as assigned. Requirements/Qualifications: 1. Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a personal caregiver 2. Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a housekeeper in a private residence 3. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds 4. Ability to climb stairs and ladders 5. Valid Driver License and pass background check. 6. Proof of authorization to work in the US ================================= LIVING ARRANGEMENTS: maid/butler quarters are above the garage. There are 2 separate rooms - the larger one has its own bathroom and the smaller one does not but there is an outside bathroom for their use. The rooms are furnished with a bed. Absolutely NO significant others allowed to live in. The living situation is not ideal for anyone who sees this as their primary place of residence unless they are single and have very little assets (i.e., maybe just clothes and a computer). BENEFITS: Paid Time Off (48 hours per year) EMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY VERIFICATION: If hired, you will be required to complete the federal Employment Eligibility Verification I-9 form. You will be required to present acceptable and original documents to prove your identity and authorization to work in the United States. Documents need to be presented no later than the third day of employment (or prior to employment if hired for a 3-day or less assignment).
