Hi there, I'm posting an ad on behalf of my mom who has a beautiful, sweet Australian Shepherd puppy in need of an experienced home with lots of time to train. He was born deaf, and was going to be euthanized by the breeder, so she took this little guy in. Due to my mom's age and physical limitations, she just cannot keep up with this little one. He's proven to be far more work than she anticipated. Though my hubs and I would love to take him in, we both work far too much to give him the training and attention he needs with his condition. Having come from true working dog stock, he's ultra smart and will need a job. He's a purebred Australian Shepherd, double red merle, 5 months old, neutered and has all his shots. He's completely deaf, though he seems to respond well to my husband's deep voice. Highly trainable for the right person. He's been exposed to cats and other dogs, and does fine with both. He has endless energy, and would do best in a highly active household. We will be conducting adoption interviews and also asking a reasonable rehoming fee, to ensure he goes to the right home.
