Apply online at www.springhillks.gov Under the supervision of the Street/Parks Supervisor, the Maintenance Worker is a non-exempt position under FLSA which performs manual labor for the department. This employee completes a variety of service, construction and/or maintenance tasks which result in or contribute to the comfort, convenience, health, or safety of all citizens. This is accomplished by constructing or maintaining streets, alleyways, sidewalks or similar areas; maintaining medians and rights of way; mowing, trimming and edging of streets; maintenance of the City park system to include mowing, trimming, trash collection, debris removal, landscaping or completing equipment maintenance related to streets and park functions. Other duties include related tasks which contribute to the upkeep and care of buildings, facilities, grounds, streets, alleys or utility services, or other municipal properties (when applicable). This employee should possess a strong mechanical aptitude, and effective communication and public relation skills.
