You are cordially invited to Dr. Ko's Coats for Kids 2021 Patron's Party to celebrate Mr. Ellis Marsalis' life.
Join us on Thursday, November 18th for Dr. Ko's Coats for Kids Concert and Patron's Party! This annual event collects winter coats for children in need and offers attendees an evening of outstanding music from New Orleans most beloved performers. This year, the concert is a special tribute to our long time co-host, the late Mr. Ellis Marsalis.
The patron party begins at 5:00pm followed by the concert at 7:00pm at Gallier Hall. At the patron's party, we will celebrate Mr. Ellis Marsalis' life with his friends, students, and supporters. Music, wine and hors d'oeuvre will be provided by local talents.
This year's lineup includes Ellis Marsalis Quartet, Faubourg Quartet, Xavier University Music Department, Soul Brass Band, Dr. Ko and many more. Please bring a new or GENTLY used coat (any size)!
The ticket sales will not only help to produce and document this event as a part of Jazz and Heritage grant program to pass on Ellis' legacy and dedication to this event but also to collect, dry clean and purchase the coats for kids.
Tickets must be pre-purchased thru Eventbrite.com. Patron party includes concert ticket.
