Volunteer with LFWA to remove vines and shrubs that are killing our native trees and other plants. We have gloves and tools to lend. Join Little Falls Watershed Shed Alliance to remove invasive non-native vines and shrubs that are crowding out native plants and killing trees. We provide gloves and hand tools as well as on-site training. Participants may bring their own tools, but power tools and machettes are not allowed. Participants should wear long pants and closed-toed shoes and bring water. Children under 14 years old MUST have on-site adult supervision. Event is pre-approved for MCPS SSL hours. Little Falls Watershed Alliance is an environmental stewardship group for the Little Falls watershed, located in lower Montgomery County and Upper NW DC. We run community work days to remove trash and invasisve non-native weeds. We provide tools and gloves. No experience is necessary, but pre-registration is encouraged on our website at www.LFWA.org.
