Getting ahead of cold and flu season: acute vs preventative needs for immune health.
In this lecture we will discuss the differences between preseason (preventive) and game day immunity (acute), taking a long term approach towards building a resilient immune response, the difference between “boosting” and fortifying the immune system and supporting herbs and vitamins for overall immune health.
Brianna is a graduate from Monmouth University and the Universidad de Cadiz, where she received her B.A. in Spanish, while also receiving two minors, in Communications and Health Studies. Brianna continued on to graduate school and received her Masters of Science in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport. She is also a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN), an Herbal Practitioner through the Herbal Academy, a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, and a Holistic Lifestyle Coach from the C.H.E.K Institute. She is currently enrolled in a PhD program at the University of Natural Medicine, pursuing her doctorate in Natural Health Sciences.
Brianna is currently the Global Educator at Vitality Works and has had her own private nutrition practice for over 6 years. Brianna has been working as a Clinical Nutritionist, specializing in alternative health, functional medicine and dietary supplements, working with a vast array of clients and businesses to educate and improve their health and dietary needs. She believes in taking a holistic and root cause approach to wellness, while also placing importance on finding balance, getting back to the basics and making lasting lifestyle changes.
