Volunteers are needed for a research study about schizophrenia
This study will look at small particles called exosomes that are released by cells. Exosomes
circulate throughout the body and are involved in cellular communication. The contents of the
exosomes allow for normal cellular function and can also play role in various diseases. We want
to determine whether exosomes play a role in schizophrenia.
Study involves one study visit with a brief interview and blood draw
Participation is strictly voluntary and confidential
Participants are paid $20 on a prepaid debit card
To participate, you should:
• be between 18 and 60 years old
• diagnosed with schizophrenia
• be a Veteran enrolled in VA healthcare in Portland
• no significant neurological diagnoses
