Description
Community conversations about personal growth and contributing to humanity. Around the campfire! With s'mores! Gluten/sugar-free options. Feeling a deep need to connect with others in a positive way? Looking to meet new people and engage in meaningful conversation? Then join us on Green Acre's main campus in Eliot on Friday, October 29th at 7pm for a campfire and a chance to connect. And s'mores! Green Acre is located at 61 Green Acre Dr in Eliot, ME. This gathering is open to people of all spiritual traditions, including none. Around 8pm we'll engage in a casual group conversation about personal growth and contributing to humanity. This is a great space for families with children (we like those small people!) and single folks as well. A few djembe drums and a guitar will be provided, but feel free to bring your own instruments and see how the evening unfolds! We may end up making some music and new friends. Normally the fire is at Fellowship House in Eliot, but this week we're meeting on Green Acre's main campus so everyone can also take the opportunity to visit Green Acre's open art gallery! The current exhibit is Chaga Nolosan (Abenaki for "Walking in Beauty"). The show is curated and populated by Indigenous peoples of the Americas. The gallery is free and open to all from from 6:30-8pm Fri Oct 29th! The fire pit is situated behind the Kelsey Center, where the gallery is located (look for signs directing you where to go!). There will be a chairs available, but you may wish to bring your own chair or blanket. There is a large hill to walk down to get to the fire. We’ll wrap up around 10pm, but feel free to arrive any time before then. Water, s'mores and restrooms will be available, and we ask that you please wear a mask if you use the building facilities. This event is free of charge. Registration is not required though it is encouraged, so we have a sense of how many people to plan for. We look forward to seeing you there! A Bahá'í, non-profit organization dedicated to contributing to the well-being of the community.
