Adversity in childhood has lifelong effects on health and behavior. Resilience: the Biology of Stress & the Science of Hope chronicles the use of brain science to disrupt cycles of violence, addiction and disease. Learn more about treatment and prevention of childhood toxic stress and what is happening right here in Lincoln. Space is limited. Follow the link below to preview the film: Resilience Preview The Child Advocacy Center is a non-profit organization providing a safe, child friendly location to conducting forensic interviews and medical evaluations for children in Southeast Nebraska who have experienced child abuse or neglect. The Child Advocacy Center also provides a variety supporitive services to children, families and the community including child advocacy, prevention training and special events.
