We offer daily care on all the days your school is closed! Our Non-School Day care programs are offered during Thanksgiving and Christmas. We offer daily care on all the days your school is closed! Our Non-School Day care programs, including Winter Break Camps, are designed to be a safe, fun, affordable resource.  EmpowerME Break Camps are open to all children, with opportunties for single parents to receive tuition discounts. Care is offered from 7:30am-5:45pm, and a typical day at our camps includes: a STEM activity, reading and journaling, a values- reinforcement activity, indoor and outdoor play, games and more!  During the Great Week of Gratitude we will bake a pumpkin pie, do pumpkin experiments, create a gratitude journal and enjoy a fun, fall scavenger hunt. We are proud to have remained open, serving our community, throughout the COVID-19 crisis. In extreme caution, we will have limited capacity for care. It is crucial that we maintain the health of our students and staff, therefore, we have taken extra cleaning and safety precautions and are checking children’s temperatures upon arrival and on a regular basis. We reserve the right to request pick-up of your child, if an elevated temperature, cough or other signs of illness are detected. An enrollment packet must be completed for each child prior to attending.  Please allow 10 minutes to complete the packet on the first day of attendance if your child has not attended an EmpowerME program in 2021. Please note that camp will close at 4pm Wednesday to allow families time to prepare for Thursday's holiday. All children must bring a sack lunch.  Snacks are provided. Space is filled on a first come, first served basis.  Call (916) 735-5350 for details. Statistics shows that children of single mothers suffer in a variety of ways and the mothers often find themselves living in poverty and riddled with guilt or frustration. But, we are here to change the statistics.  We believe that single mothers and their children do not have to be negatively impacted by this circumstance. In fact, being "single-mom-strong: having grit and determination; refusing to fail", is not detrimental at all... Single Mom Strong exists for the empowerment of single mothers and their children through enrichment, encouragement and educational programs.  Funds raised are used to advance our mission. It is the mission of Single Mom Strong to create a community of single mothers and children in support of one another, while empowering them to be their best selves, through enrichment, encouragement and educational programs.
