Description

Assembles building material components such as roof and floor trusses. Processes include insertion or positioning of materials, clamping, splicing, fitting parts and use of both hand and power tools. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and on occasion up to 80 pounds. · Plans and implements the assembly of roof and floor trusses by reading and understanding set-up sheets, drawings or blueprints. Become familiar with the truss plate inventory system and proper truss plate placements. Learn proper timing and procedures for clearing cut lumber from the saw area Learn procedures for stacking and banding trusses to reduce the risk of damage or breakage during loading, transport and unloading
