This is a FREE community event that provides information about child development, developmental screenings, and community resources.
Books, Balls, and Blocks screening event provides children with multiple stations to have fun and play in. While the children are playing, parents and caregivers will have the opportunity to fill out a developmental screening for their child. The stations includes activities revolving around books (language and literacy), balls (gross motor, fine motor, and problem solving skills), and blocks (math and fine motor skills). On the surface, children are just playing. In reality, play stimulates learning. Play offers an ideal opportunity for parents to engage fully with their children. Parents are encouraged to participate with their child in the books, balls, and blocks activities. Many parents appreciate the simplicity of these activities and can visualize how to recreate these learning stations at home using everyday items. This event provides parents the opportunity to connect with other parents and learn more about how Help Me Grow can support them and their children. We hope to see you and have fun with your little ones.
