Farmingdale, NY (October 15, 2021)—The opening days of October brought with it a renewed sense of Farmingdale School District pride as the district kicked off its annual Spirit Week. The week-long festivities were marked by daily themes and events that brought students and faculty together to show their Daler pride.
"We are a district full of creative, talented, intelligent, and driven students," said Superintendent Paul Defendini. "Spirit Week is a time where we can all come together and celebrate that."The week started with Farmingdale students adding a pop of color with bright neon attire. On Wednesday, schools were filled with magic as students wore their favorite Disney apparel. Students had a rootin'-tootin' time wearing county gear on Thursday. Spirit Week culminated with "Let's Go, Dalers Friday," in which students decked out had to toe in their best Farmingdale apparel to show their pride for their district.
The pride displayed by this week's events showed that being a Daler means having a lifelong support system and that once you're a part of the Farmingdale family, you're always a part of the Farmingdale family.
