Description

Kokedama, an art related to bonsai, is a plant in a ball of compressed bonsai soil, wrapped in moss, and tied with twine! Includes a draft! Learn about the art of kokedama, a planting sandwiched in bonsai soil that is wrapped in moss and tied with a rustic twine. Kokedama means, "moss ball"... and that's what it is! A moss ball! They're awesome and we use succulents to be able to help your care for them more easily. A variety of plants will be available for workshop attendees to choose and design their own kokedama to take home. Participants have use of the instructor's tools during the workshop and receive the most important workshop aid of all: BEER! One of the many, incredibly well-crafted beers from COnshohocken Brewing Co. is always included, so you must be 21 to attend this event and we'll be following all PA and CDC guidelines. Tickets for a table for 2 and 4 are available at a discount! Slip Pot Bonsai Workshops is a fully mobile plant workshop program serving Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. Our focus is on bonsai and Japanese horticulture with classes in many price points and for all skill levels.  Our Beer and Bonsai program available at local breweries has been running since January 2018. New events are posting weekly!
