One year old tree at Conshohocken Brewing Company! Learn the art of Cascade and Semi-Cascade and drink beer! Tree, pot, draft included! This workshop is using a familiar tree, but this time we're dealing with a specific style. When I talk style at workshops, everyone wants to do this one. "I want to do that!" You say. But not every tree can become what we'll be doing at this event. Every tree and every pot is hand-picked to be suitable for this particular workshop. Workshop participants receive a ONE YEAR OLD dwarf jade pre-bonsai tree, and a ceramic pot for Kengai (meaning "cascade" where the style of the tree has the trunk end underneath of the base of the tree...it looks like it's growing upside down) or Han-Kengai ("semi-cascade" with apex outstretched.) You'll get everything you need: soil and substrate, wire, and instruction to style and care for their very own dwarf jade bonsai tree. Participants have use of the instructor's tools during the workshop and receive the most important workshop aid of all: BEER! One of the many, well-crafted beers from Conshohocken Brewing Company is always included, so you must be 21 to attend this event! Tickets for a table for 2 and 4 are available at a discount!
