González Office: (210) 207-5454 [email protected] SAN ANTONIO (October 06, 2021) – The City of San Antonio Planning Department will conduct a virtual community meeting, via Zoom, for the Highway 151 and Loop 1604 Area Regional Center Plan. Thursday, October 07, 2021 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. The Plan, launched in 2019, is being developed to implement the SA Tomorrow Comprehensive Plan, which was adopted by City Council in 2016. Throughout the planning process the City has organized numerous stakeholder meetings to engage residents in how the area can develop and build on its existing assets to fulfill the community's vision. This community-based planning process has resulted in draft recommendations and strategies that, when adopted, will be used by City Departments, partner agencies, private entities, and community partners to support livable, complete neighborhoods. During the virtual community meeting, area residents will receive an overview of the sub-area planning process and the draft plan, have an opportunity to ask questions, and provide their feedback on the draft recommendations. "We thank the residents, business owners, and the community who have participated in this process for the past two years. Your continued commitment, conversations and work throughout this process is essential to planning for our community, "said Bridgett White, AICP, Director of the Planning Department. "We invite you to this virtual community meeting, to share your comments and feedback as we near the final stages of the planning process." Opportunities to provide input for the plan will be available during the meeting, through social media, the plan website, and via email. The deadline for comments on the draft plan is Sunday, November 7, 2021. The draft Plan is available for review on the Highway 151 and Loop 1604 Area Regional Center Plan website.
