MARYLAND — Three Maryland towns are ranked among the best 100 places to live in America, according to a new report released by the community research outlet Livability. One town landed in the top five, while another made it in the top 15.
Ranked fourth in the report is Frederick, which earned a Livescore of 760. The ranking describes Frederick as a "charming city" with a rich history, pedestrian-friendly streets, picturesque architecture and abundant countryside wineries.
Howard County's Columbia ranked 15th in the report with a Livscore population of 721. The report highlight's Columbia's "high quality of life," numerous family-friendly activities and robust economy.
The third community to make the report happens to be Annapolis, ranked at 38th with a Livscore of 698. The city sits on the picturesque Chesapeake Bay, which "provides a scenic backdrop to this colonial city."
