Shreve Memorial Library's Higginbotham-Bryson Branch is excited to welcome patrons back to the newly renovated branch. The branch, located at 9359 Greenwood Road in Greenwood, LA, has been closed since June for renovations. The Higginbotham-Bryson Branch will reopen to the public tomorrow, August 25 at 1:00 p.m.
Renovations at the branch began June 1, 2021 and included minor structural repairs, new brick to an outside portion of the building, water damage repair, replacement of rain gutters, and new sod on the outside of building. In addition, new tile was added to the foyer and restrooms, and new carpeting was installed throughout the branch. Restroom fixtures were updated, walls were painted and new trim was added. The library also received new chairs and will receive LED lighting at a later date.
Beginning Wednesday, August 25, the Higginbotham-Bryson will resume normal hours of:
Monday 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Tuesday 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Wednesday 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Thursday 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Friday 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. The branch offers browsing and checkouts, computer access, reference help, Readers' Advisory, printing and faxing services, and curbside pickup. All visitors to the library age five and older must wear a face mask to enter the library, and face masks are required at all time while in the branch. No eating or drinking is allowed in the branch.
