Multiple Vehicles Involved In Santa Clara County Fatal Collision

SANTA CLARA (BCN) — The California Highway Patrol reports a fatal collision on eastbound State Route 237 late Sunday night. The number two and three eastbound lanes of the highway, also known as the Southbay Freeway, were shut down for about two hours shortly after the five-vehicle collision, first reported at 10:41 p.m. between the junctions of Lawrence Expressway and Great America Parkway. The CHP reported fatal victims in two of the vehicles and that people in the other three vehicles involved had minor injuries. All lanes were reopened shortly before 1 a.m., according to the CHP.
