KEENE, NH — A Pembroke man is facing a felony deadly weapon charge after an accident in Stoddard on Sunday. Troop C troopers were sent to Route 9 near Route 123 around 3:45 p.m. for a report of a serious crash. When they arrived, they found a 2005 Volkswagen Jetta with front-end damage and a 2018 Dodge Ram pickup truck that had rolled. "Prior to the crash, the Jetta had been observed operating erratically while traveling eastbound on Route 9," according to Lt. Michael Kokoski of Troop C. "While both vehicles sustained significant damage, there were no serious injuries as a result of the crash." The driver of the Jetta, Gregg Stockman, 42, of Pembroke was arrested on felony reckless conduct with a deadly weapon and violation of a protective order charges. He was held at the Cheshire County Jail and will be arraigned on Monday in superior court. The driver of the pickup truck, an elderly Winchester man, was not charged. State police were assisted at the scene by the Antrim Police Department, Stoddard Fire Department, DiLuzio Ambulance, and New Hampshire Fish and Game. This crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Thomas Byrne via Troop C dispatch at 603-223-8494, or by email at [email protected]. Back in November 2016, according to a post on Patch, Stockman was arrested on drug possession and weapons charges after an incident on Broadway.
