CONCORD, NH — A motorcyclist was taken to Concord Hospital on Monday after an accident on Centre Street.
Just after 7:30 p.m., police and fire and rescue teams were sent to the street, between Perry Avenue and Summit Street, for a report of an accident with injury. Police closed the street to traffic as firefighters assisted the motorcyclist who had serious injuries.
Fire dispatch reported the rider had a broken leg and other injuries, according to scanner chatter.
At just before 8 p.m., the rider was taken to the hospital.
An officer said they expected the street to be closed at least an hour, possible longer, while an investigation into the cause of the accident was conducted.
The street is closed between Rumford and Summit streets. Tow trucks were being called to remove the vehicles around 8:30 p.m.
