DOYLESTOWN, PA — Doylestown Health has raised $80,000,000 in donations and pledges for their 'One Vision Campaign', which focuses on initiatives to improve the hospital's quality of care and various developments and upgrades to the hospital as a whole. The campaign, launched in 2016, started with a goal of reaching $75,000,000, which was increased to $100,000,000 in January due to additional funds being needed for building projects. One of those building projects is for the Children's Hospital, which was destroyed in a 2020 tornado and is currently being rebuilt. This part of the hospital has been working out of a temporary location while the new location is being planned, with groundbreaking of the new building scheduled for Dec. 4. Construction on a new and expanded suite in the Women's Diagnostic Center is also underway. The expansion will allow more space for patients on the ground floor. A majority of the funds for this project came from a single donation from the co-chairs of the One Vision Campaign. The Center will reopen as the Clark Center for Breast Imaging in early 2022. All funding and construction plans are scheduled to be finished by 2023, the hospital's centennial year. "Despite the challenges of the pandemic and this past year, we have continued to grow andposition Doylestown Health for its second century of services to the community," JimBrexler, President and CEO of Doylestown Health, said in a press release. "Within the last two years, completion of the Cardiovascular and Critical Care Pavilion, the Ambulatory Center, the Pine Run Community Center, and other capital projects has accelerated the hospital's growth and expanded the health system's ability to treat patients across a wide spectrum of preventive and acute care." More information on the campaign can be found at Doylestown Health's website.
