Franklin Street near North Charles Street, Baltimore MD
Description
JOB DESCRIPTION: I am looking for people to take photos of items (new and used) that will be posted and offered for sale on eBay, Etsy, Mercari, Craigslist and/or other ecommerce sites. If interested and up for the task, you do not need to be a professional photographer, but can be an amateur photographer or hobbyist photographer. You really do not even have to know how to take pictures at all. But if you do not know how to use a camera, you must be comfortable and willing to learn. Understand that you will not be trained to become a professional photographer. nor will you be creating art. Instead just low budget, but good photos of the items are needed. After all, most items sell better with a picture than without one. I would prefer to get people who already know how to take pictures and are able to start work immediately and hit the ground running. Because customer shopping online cannot touch the items they see online, he or she should be offered the best possible means of exploring the items that are contemplating buying online. The appeal of a item in enhanced by having several good photos of the items and sometimes it’s a good idea to bring out certain details of a item. This makes the photos more interesting, and well photographed details can also enhance the overall impression of quality. LOCATION: At this time photos must be taken at my commercial premises, where the products are stored and where there is a Nikon D5600 Digital SLR camera available, a continuous lighting kit and a plain white backdrop set up. The premises are located in Downtown Baltimore City, in the Mount Vernon section. HOURS: The days of the week that you work and the number of hours you work each day or week are very flexible and will be primarily based on your schedule and availability. However, since the work will be done in my premises when someone will be there, the work must done Monday through Saturday between the hours of 9AM and 9PM. You will not be able to just show up when you want or on the fly, but we will agree on a pre-arranged schedule, but the schedule can change from week-to-week or when ever you want, based on your availability. Getting to Location: There are several MTA bus lines running on North Charles Street and Cathedral Street that are located within 500 feet from the location. The Charm City Circulator (Free Bus) also stops within 500 feet of the location. In addition, within a few more blocks, there are several more bus lines, a Light Rail stop and a Metro Subway sto PARKING: If you drive, there is metered parking directly outside of the location or in the area. In addition, there is a City owned parking garage directly across the street. There is even some free parking in the neighborhood, but the number of hours you generally can remain parked is restricted, unless you have a Baltimore City Zone 28 Residential Parking Permit. Parking is free at the parking meters after 6PM Mondays though Fridays. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The work does not require any real strenuous activity, but you must be able to stand, stoop, bend, or do what ever is necessary to take the pictures. Most of the photos to be taken will be of items weighing less than four or five pounds with the items sitting on a tabletop or of clothing on a mannequin standing on the floor or laying flat on the table. AGE REQUIREMENT: You can be any age, but must be at least age 16 or older. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: Again, you do not have to be a professional photographer and you do not even have know how to use the camera. However, I would prefer someone who knows how to use a digital camera or has their own camera that they are comfortable using that takes decent pictures. Once I explain what the type of photos I want or show you how to use the camera, you must be able to work independently and without supervision. Again, I will primarily be looking at who will be able to start work and hit the ground running. In addition, I will be looking at your availability and times you can work. For example, you have some experience and can work 20 hours per week verses someone with no experience that can only work 4 hours per week. ►There is only one Nikon D5600 Digital SLR camera available, and the premises are small with just one continuous lighting kit and plain white backdrop set up. Consequently, if someone can only work 4 hours per week they still might be selected, because maybe they are available to work and take photos at times when others are not available. Everyone cannot work the same days or the week at the same time of day. Thanks for reading!
