PHOENIX, AZ — A teenager found dead in a residence in the early morning hours of Oct. 5 has been identified as Destiny Munoz, 17, according to Phoenix Police. The cause and manner of her death have not been determined and are still being investigated, police said. Daniel Blas Torrealba, 21, and Edwin Humberto Chavez-Blas, 19, were both arrested on suspicion of concealment of a dead body and tampering with evidence, according to police. Torrealba is charged in Maricopa County Superior Court on suspicion of abandoning or concealing a body, tampering with evidence and possession of a weapon by a prohibited person, all felonies. Chavez-Blas is charged in Maricopa County Superior Court on suspicion of concealing a body and tampering with evidence. Torrealba was released from Maricopa County Jail Oct. 8 on $125,000 bond, according to court documents. Chavez-Blas was released Thursday on $25,000 bond, according to court documents. Police found Munoz's body was found around 2 a.m. Oct. 5 in a residence near the intersection of Central and Ruth avenues, police said. Police found Munoz when responding to a tip that there might be a body inside the residence. No one else was there when police arrived, they said.
