Press release from the University of Alaska Anchorage: October 18, 2021 You can help make our campus a safer place to walk after dark by joining our annual Nighttime Safety Walk across campus. We will look for lighting that needs improvement, trip hazards on sidewalks and parking lots, shrubbery that needs to be trimmed, and any other safety issues. Notes will be gathered, and turned over to Facilities Maintenance the next day for follow-up action. The Safety Walk has been scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 28, starting at 7 p.m. Volunteers will be assigned to one of three teams (west campus, east campus, student housing) to make quick work of this important evening event.
