Folks, we have a free library in the midtown area and are fed up with well meaning people dumping unwanted household items in front of the library. We have a security camera that shows cars like new SUV’s, Prius’s and Subarus with prosperous looking people actually dumping household garbage such as old toasters, breast pumps, broken lamps, cracked crockpots and 30 year old textbooks, and even iris bulbs on the sidewalk. Listen, if you don’t want your garbage-our neighborhood doesn’t want it either. Take this crap to the dump and stop kidding yourself that you are doing our neighborhood a favor. Next car we catch on camera doing this is going to get a police report filed on them for illegal dumping. The local thrift stores don’t even want this kind of crap so why would we? It is lazy and inconsiderate behavior. Also the flea market guy who stops buy and loots all the good books for resale is also someone we would be glad to see the back of. This library is maintained and enjoyed by the neighborhood. Please be more respectful and stop this scumbag behavior.
