Description

Gabbie is a 11 month old puppy who needs to find her forever home. She will need someone who is patient and understanding of the condition she was in, in the first few months of her life. She along with my other two dogs convinced her bad mommy to surrender her to me. Gabbie was so emaciated that you could see every bone on her body. She was flea infested, had infected sores, her back legs were extremely weak and her fur was falling out. The vet said between being tied up outside and not getting enough nourishment that it caused her legs to be weak and fur to fall out. Gabbie has made great strides since she came to me on Aug. 25th. She has put on alot of healthy weight. She has no fleas and all her sores are healed and her fur has grown in thick. Her back legs keep getting stronger by the day. Gabbie will be the size of a lab. I believe she is a lab mix (50% lab, 25% staffy and 25% either german shepherd or beagle). She is 99% potty trained. She's crate trained and leash trained. She loves her tennis balls and frisbees. She gets along with other dogs. Not sure about cats. She barks at them but with the same bark that she likes to hear herself speak...lol She was born Nov 16, 2020. She will be due for shots in April. She has not been spayed yet. She is still learning her people manners. She likes to jump up and play bite. Her play bite isn't the rough type. I think she would do best in a home with older kids or no kids. She would also do best in an active household. She needs to go to a home that won't make her an outside dog and just chain her up outside. She's only on a tie out long enough to play and to potty. She finally fell in love with playing outside like most other dogs do. She will come with a new crate and crate pad I recently bought, toys, leash and tie out. As for why I'm not keeping her, I already have two dogs and that's enough for me. I simply couldn't let Gabbie go back to those living conditions. I forgot to mention, she is skittish when a voice is raised, they beat her at her bad mommy's home. So she will need lots and lots of love and patience. She will come with a $250 rehoming fee to make sure she goes to a really good home.
