HB Staffing is currently providing temporary employees for the County of San Diego Public Agencies! We are currently seeking (5) Custodians to work for one of the County Hospitals! The duties are: -Clean and disinfects patient care areas, bathtubs, showers, restroom fixtures, drinking fountains, clinic/patient care furniture/equipment, windows, doors, screens, blinds, walls, light fixtures and mirrors using a variety of cleaning agents and equipment. -Collect and transport infectious waste and disposes of waste in locked bins. -Clean isolation rooms and patient bodily fluid spills using infection control techniques. -Replenish lavatory supplies and cleaning materials. -Caresfor and clean floors by sweeping, mopping, stripping, sealing, waxing, and buffing floor areas. -Vacuum, shampoo, spot clean and/or deep steam clean carpets and upholstered furniture; move furniture incidental to cleaning activities. -Dust, polish and clean desks, tables, shelves, cabinets, woodwork and other furniture including metal. -Collect and dispose of recycled materials, medical waste and/or trash. -Empty and clean waste receptacles. -Replace soiled linens, draperies and cubicle curtains; distributes patient laundry and clean linen. -Keep workstation, utility or storage rooms, and equipment clean and in orderly condition. -Prepare work activity logs and initiates requests to replenish supplies. -Service and make minor repairs to tools and equipment. -Make hospital beds. -Clean entrance ways and public use areas outside buildings and other such activities. -Turn out lights, locks doors, and windows. -Arrange rooms for patient activities, auxiliary workers and others. This is a temporary position lasting no longer than 90 days! The department may submit another request for assignment should they continue to need assistance, or there is an option of accepting an assignment with another department should it be available!
