URGENT: Need replacement guitarist for cover band on Oct 23rd

San Diego CA

Description

We are seeking a talented stand-in guitarist for a private outdoor event, next Saturday, Oct 23rd, from 8pm-10pm. Possible permanent role for the right fit. The Remedy is a tribute-level cover band that plays 40% rock/blues originals and 60% unique/unusual covers from a variety of artists. We formed during the pandemic, and have not yet found external gigs, so we made our own outdoor music venue in my backyard. 2600w PA, 16x12 pro stage, full stage lighting, and experienced professional musicians, playing for the sheer joy of it. Our event will have about 50 guests, and our set will be 10 songs, from 9pm-10pm. We can offer unlimited Mexican food (catering), free drinks after the set (you'd be welcome to stay and party afterwards), and a potential permanent spot in the band for the right person. I can also offer $50 to cover gas/uber expenses. (Note: this is our event, we are not being paid). You can chose to play lead or rhythm, as our current guitarist can cover the other role you don't take. (But unless you can really smoke the solos, we'll likely ask you to stick with rhythm). Here's the 8 covers we'll be playing: Cult of Personality Cheap Sunglasses Moby Dick Unaware (Allen Stone) Sledgehammer Fire The Beautiful Ones (Prince) Purple Rain We are also playing 2 original songs, which you can preview in the links below: Once More (needs rhythm part played): https://youtu.be/iDvXXALiPm4 Nowhere to Hide (your choice of role, since I am playing acoustic on this one): https://youtu.be/boL_xylD0iw If you're interested, reply asap with your phone number, and a video clip (phone is fine) of your playing, preferably one of the songs listed above. We have a final tech rehearsal on thurs at 6pm-9pm, so anyone who can stop by for a bit on that night as well gets priority attention. Thanks! ~The Remedy 6I9-58I-6I46 (text preferred)
