Smoky Mountain Animal Clinic is in need of a caring professional who can take care of our clients and their pets. Experience preferred but not required to apply. We are looking for someone who takes pride in a job well done. We are a small animal veterinary office in the heart of east TN. Seymour is a small community with beautiful mountain views and just 30 minutes away from knoxville, sevierville, and alcoa TN. Our clinic consists of 1 full time vet/owner and 1 part time veterinarian. We offer a laid back supportive personal atmosphere but focus on a high level of care for our patients. We are a growing clinic and pay an hourly wage to allow for scheduling flexibility and to prevent overworking salaried employees. We do have bonus structures and opportunities (up to $200 extra a week). We currently currently only see canine and feline patients Tattoos and non-natural hair color are accepted as long as the knowledge can back up the appearance :) Assistant/Kennel Duties: Walking dogs, kennel boarding duties, laundry, restraining pets for procedures or medications, checking clients into exams and surgery, light bathing and lots of poop clean up of course. Janitorial duties for kennel and clinic also expected. Very interested in someone with social media and tech savvy who can communicate with clients via our clinic iphones and facebook pages. Room to advance and to learn administrative duties (i.e. inventory management and reception skills) or veterinary skill as well. Pay starts at $13/hour if little to no experience with a merit based raise at 90 days (and bonus opportunities) and then yearly raise. For experienced technicians or applicants pay is negotiable. We are looking for 40 hours a week Our open hours are Monday-thursday 8am-5:30p, Fridays 8-4pm, and saturdays 8-1. Weekend kennel also available but only after training is complete. Benefits after 90 days include discounted pet food and vet care, human vision/dental insurance (medical not offered at this time), weekly goal bonus checks ($25-200 per week).
