Tribe of Ben - bringing rock, blues, jazz, reggae, funk, and soul to the HarCo area since 1996! Tribe of Ben, originally from Bel Air, MD, formed in 1996. Over their career, Tribe of Ben have written and recorded 4 albums. Their swan song album, Vehicle, truly showed the diversity of Mark Hopkins song writing. Released in 2003, the album gained many accolades including radio personality Bill Wright of WRNR's Road Trippin', choosing Vehicle as the #1 album of his top 25 albums of 2003. Tribe of Ben blends elements of rock, blues, jazz, reggae, funk, and soul into their music while also including heavy improvisation that takes the listener on a journey. Over the years they have shared the stage with many regional and national acts such as Phish lyricist Tom Marshall's band Amphibian, Bernie Worrell, Railroad Earth, Donna the Buffalo, Ekoostik Hookah, Yellowman, and The Bridge.
