Join fellow permies and gardeners for a permablitz in Colrain to convert forest edge to terraces followed by music and fire! Our small rural homestead (3.2 acres) has lots of possibilities and lots of slopes! We are currently removing some trees for light and would love to have help converting these forest edges to useful terraces. Digging and moving logs is hard work... but many hands make labor light. Music at the firepit at the end of the workday... i have some gooseberry, jostaberry, raspberry for potential swaps. I'm a cook and a jammer so i hope to share those passions with others as well. What to Bring: -Wheel barrow, pick mattock, work gloves, sturdy work shoes (mini excavator? woodchipper?)- if you have them! - bag lunch or plan on heading to town for takeout (there will be a lunch break from 12-1) Children are welcome but must be tended! An indoor bathroom is available. Burgers and dogs at the end of the day! We will work in light rain but in case of severe weather let's plan on a November 6th rain date.
