The Family Huddles is an opportunity for Arlington ISD to actively engage and partner with families in their students educational experience The Family Huddles is an opportunity for Arlington ISD to actively engage and partner with families in their students educational experience. We are committed to supporting family engagement at all AISD campuses by providing opportunities for families to become equipped with the knowledge, training, and resources needed to assist with their child's academic growth. We do this by engaging, educating and empowering the families through events like the Family Huddle. The Family Huddles will consist of workshops and resources for families giving them the tools they need to better support their student's learning. The areas of focus are as follows: Social Emotional/Mental Health – addressing the emotional and mental challenges of “the Family” by educating families on the importance self-care dispelling the myths around mental health. Home to School Connections – navigating the education system understanding how to advocate and support your students learning for academic success.Parenting – basic skills that builds the parent ability to support everyday family demands raising children in the 21st Century. We will provide a light dinner and childcare for children 3 years - 11 years-old. The mission of the Arlington Independent School District is to empower and engage all students to be contributing, responsible citizens striving for their maximum potential through relevant, innovative and rigorous learning experiences.
