Coeur d Alene ID

Description

This is Penny, she is a 6 female y/o Labrador/ Pitbull mix. She was I adopted her 5 years ago and she has been my faithful friend trough all this time, that is why I need to make sure she continues to have the life she deserves. She is house broken and sweet, never destructive and never exhibited any signs of aggression, but she does stand up for herself when she gets attacked by other dogs. That being said she never provokes fights and is always eager to submit and play. The reason she needs a new home id due to the fact that she is a special needs dog. I am not sure what happened to her before she came to me, but she has a very hard time earring a trust of a human, its not impossible but it requires a lot of patience and love. Once she trusts you she will be your true best friend for ever. She does best with women, and soft spoken and gentle man, she is not aggressive with children however I imagine it could be traumatic for her to be around them especially if they are used to being around “ normal” dogs. She loves her walks, and does great off leash on long hikes. She is often left alone for 12 or more hours due to the nature of my job, she is never anxious or destructive and just sleeps and waits patiently to be let out. My work is requiring a lot more travel and exposing her to new care takers on consistent basis has been very hard on her. There are many more great things I could add, I could go on and on… An ideal new owner would be someone who is able to provide a stable and quiet environment and someone with empathy for a dog who needs a lot of patience but gives a lot of love and loyalty in return. A rehoming fee of $100 will apply in order to ensure best placement for this sweet girl. Thank you for your consideration
