Wanting Dog

Looking for calm dog. My son has autism and he loves to sit for hours petting our neighbors dog. So we are looking for a calm dog. Size does not matter. Preferably potty trained if older, as this will be an inside dog, and part of the family. We have experience with English Bulldogs, hound dogs, and Chihuahuas. Would not mind paying a couple hundred for a Maltese or other partially hypoallergenic dog. However that's not a necessity.
