Why your hamstrings are tight (or overstretched)The connection between flexibility and strengthHow to condition your hamstrings to maximize healthy flexibilityHow to weave hamstring conditioning into your vinyasa flows Ways to manage painful hamstring tendinopathy AKA "yoga butt"Some Vinyasa yoga experience is expected and recommended for this workshop, but it's accessible to all levels. You will NOT be focusing on splits or deep ranges of motion, but instead learning how to work with where you are so you can find freedom in your hamstring stretches whether you want to "go deeper" or not.
Cat Valadez is a yoga instructor with over 3,000 hours of teaching experience who’s been practicing yoga since 2006, teaching since 2012, and is inspired by a variety of styles, from Vinyasa Ashtanga and Feldenkrais, to yin yoga and mindfulness. Her teaching places equal emphasis on traditional yoga methods as she does on current movement science.
Cat’s teaching is detailed and clear, empowering students to help them cultivate strength and autonomy in their practice. Her mission is to help people joyfully access their innate strength and wisdom, and empower them to make the practice their own.
