The American Institute of Architects Golden Empire is hosting an event for kids to learn about architecture and hone their creative skills.
Students will be divided into small groups led by an architect who will guide an exercise on the significance of sketching. Drawing, and art in general, affects how the brain thinks- and sees the world. Sketching allows one to focus and see things previously unnoticed in the built environment. The result is a better appreciation of the various aspects of architecture - functionality, artistry. and design importance.
The AIA Golden Empire and Boys & Girls Clubs of Kern County are delighted to invite all to bring their creativity and curiosity and come sketch with architects!
