Join us for a morning full of presentations and announcements sharing the exciting future of the urban core of Bakersfield. The Downtown Symposium gathers civic leaders, business and property owners and social entrepreneurs to capture the big ideas and forward thinking energy for the future of Downtown Bakersfield’s. The event will feature nine (9) 18-minute presentations from people who are shaping the future of Bakersfield’s urban core, challenging the status quo and reimagining how we live, work and recreate in our city. The Hub of Bakersfield invites proposals for presentations in three thematic areas: Housing Downtown and the New Economy Community Development and Adaptive Reuse The Hub of Bakersfield’s mission is to make downtown Bakersfield and surrounding neighborhoods a better place to live, work, play and invest.
