September 30th was such a grand success. Join us for an encore performance with our new edition to the “Dolls” Bessie Smith, played by Thornetta Davis and Kimmie Horne. The 21th Annual “Out of the Mouth of Jazz Music Series, The Satin Doll Revue Encore Performance .” Featuring songs from the late jazz greats, musical songbooks’ of Etta James performed by Detroit Music Award winning Empress of Blues Vocalist, Tosha Owens, Nina Simone performed by Detroit Black Music Award R&B/Jazz Vocalist, Faye Bradford, Billie Holiday performed by 11 time Detroit Music Award Vocalist, Sky Covington, Multi- Award winner and world renowned recording artist, Queen of Blues Thornetta Davis​, Sarah Vaughn performed by award winning Vocalist Kimmie Horne​. With Narrator Carmen Mcrae performed by respected vocalist, Lady Love. Please be ready to go back in time. This amazing show is also a history lesson.
