Here are the top stories in Beaverton today: Debi Coleman, a pioneer in the male-dominated tech industry, has died. The president and CEO of the Technology Association of Oregon referred to Coleman as "one of our state's greatest champions of the technology industry." She played a prominent role at Apple before coming to Beaverton to become vice president of operations and materials with Tektronix. She later served as CEO of Forest Grove-based Merix and co-founded SmartForest Ventures in 2001. Coleman was 69. (Willamette Week)Washington County Land Use & Transportation has two upcoming neighborhood meetings: The first to be held this Tuesday, October 19, is regarding a two-story mixed office and retail building that's been proposed for an empty lot in the Bethany neighborhood.
