Volunteering with the Elderly

My daughter and I are looking to volunteer by giving some attention to elderly folks who need to see 2 smiling faces. We have about 90 minutes in the afternoon where we can go and visit 1-2 seniors and brighten their day with a smile, maybe a small plant and visit once every week or 2 weeks. Anyone know an organization that can help us do this? Wayland Council on Aging ignored our email :-(
