Alsace Washington DC presents ''Alsace through the Ages'' by Alsatian-born Jacques Paul Klein, former Under-Secretary of the United Nations. A talk by Ambassador Jacques Paul Klein followed by a traditional Alsatian choucroute, prepared by the Chef of the French Embassy. Program: 7 pm - Welcome and possibility to take a French ''apéritif'' (add. cost) 7:30 pm - Talk and Q&A. Jacques Paul Klein was born in Alsace and relocated to the USA in his childhood. He is a passionate expert of the history of Alsace. 8:30 pm - Alsatian Dinner - Choucroute (sauerkraut) Menu Choucroute royale Glass of Alsatian Riesling Tarte aux pommes à l’alsacienne (Alsatian-style apple tart) 11 pm - End of event Important information Access to the French Embassy: You will need a French, US, or other official ID to enter the venue.
