Hi! My name is Teresa Darren. I've gathered with the north shore community, culinary students and pulled out Mom for a fundraising bake sale Cow Palace 457 NY-25A Rocky Point, NY 11778 Sunday 10/17 9AM - 3PM Gary is my best friend's husband and he is in stage 4 kidney failure. Despite his poor physical health and pain Gary continues to work 2-3 jobs to support his family. He always has a smile on for the world and would never turn his back on anyone. He is one of the most loving and giving people I know~he and his wife devote their lives to helping others. He's a chef at a local hospital while his wife works at hospice preparing people to say goodbye to their loved ones. These two wonderful people have instilled their love of helping others in their daughter who is currently in college studying to be a nurse. On her vacations from school she has begun volunteering her time at hospice. For this family who does so much for others, I am asking for your help. If all goes well Gary will be getting a kidney soon!! As much as that is an enormous thing to celebrate t his family cannot relax because they're worried about their finances. The kidney transplant will require Gary to be out of work for 12 weeks or more. Please help me relieve some of their stress by removing some of their financial worries and giving back to a family that dedicates their lives to helping others.
