Our Region. Our Environment. Presented by Women in the Environment. The North Central Texas Region’s annual Solid Waste Management Symposium is being presented by Women in the Environment, an advocacy organization committed to sustainability and environmental stewardship. All of us should be aware of what our region is up against. To landfill, recycle, reuse, transition to other package materials, continue to explore green energy—these are just a few of the questions for which we must develop answers. Some might even say it’s a reality check for the solid waste environment. The symposium will be a straightforward discussion presented by experts and designed to inform and energize our leaders in addressing short and long-term challenges. Women in the Environment is pleased to bring together companies, cities, and environmental advocates who can shape positive actions across the board. Managing landfill space, protecting the land, water and air—it’s all about awareness, collaboration and partnerships. Empowering women in the environmental field through education, encouragement, outreach and networking.
